The London Bus Theatre Company has received a Kings Award for voluntary service. It was awarded in recognition of “an exceptional group that works with young people in deprived areas of Essex providing drama and film projects”.

Originally awarded in 2002 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee it was previously known as The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS).  The award is considered as an MBE for voluntary groups, given to those groups who provide exceptional service within their communities.

We are inordinately proud to be associated with such a prestigious honour. It not only validates the work we have delivered over the last 25 years, but celebrates the extraordinary efforts of those many volunteers who have worked alongside us in the incredibly exciting and rewarding journey instigated by The London Bus Theatre Company in reaching this pinnacle of recognition.
