“Kick It” – Truancy DVD is designed and delivered by young people. It provides all the information on how truancy can affect your future prospects and chances in life. We believe by providing children and young people with the facts on truancy this will lead to better attendance in schools and colleges.
The DVD is approximately 5 minutes in length and delivers a powerful anti-truancy message for both boys and girls, covering topics such as what truancy means, the consequences of missing lessons, the legal position for parents of children absconding as well as broaching the issue of being late for class. It ends with a powerful representation of the potential to be sucked into criminality if a student is persistently absent from school.
